Martin Howe QC was called to the Bar in 1978 and appointed Queen’s Counsel in 1996. His practice concentrates on Intellectual property law, European Community law, data protection and commercial and public law cases. Martin regularly appears before the European Court of Justice and the European Patent Office as well as English appellate and first instance courts and tribunals.
Martin is a member of the Conservative Party’s Commission to create a Bill of Rights (and Responsibilities) and is the Chairman of the Centre for Social Justice’s Courts and Sentencing Policy Group. He is the author of Monetary Policy After Maastricht (CPS, 1992) and From Maastricht to Amsterdam (CPS, 1994).
