Professor Niall Ferguson

Niall Ferguson, MA, D.Phil., is the Laurence A. Tisch Professor of History at Harvard University and William Ziegler Professor at Harvard Business School.

He is also a Senior Research Fellow of Jesus College, Oxford University, and a Senior Fellow of the Hoover Institution, Stanford University. He is the author of, inter alia, ‘Empire: How Britain Made the Modern World’, ‘Colossus: The Rise and Fall of the American Empire’, ‘The Ascent of Money’ and ‘Too Big to Live’ and has presented a number of Channel 4 series. Professor Ferguson gave the 2009 Ruttenberg Memorial Lecture at the Centre for Policy Studies on ‘Conservatism and the Crisis: A Transatlantic Trilemma.’
