Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks

Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks is an international religious leader, philosopher, award-winning author and respected moral voice. Awarded the 2016 Templeton Prize in recognition of his “exceptional contributions to affirming life’s spiritual dimension”, Rabbi Sacks served as Chief Rabbi of the United Hebrew Congregations of the Commonwealth from 1991 to 2013. A visiting professor at several universities in the UK, Israel and America, and the recipient of 17 honorary doctorates, Rabbi Sacks is the author of over 30 books, the most recent of which is the bestseller Not in God’s Name: Confronting Religious Violence (Hodder & Stoughton, 2015). He was knighted by Her Majesty The Queen in 2005 and made a Life Peer in 2009.
